In the heart of Chow Kit, a bustling area filled with stories of struggle and resilience, our QubeHeroes from QubeApps embarked on a mission to make a positive difference in the lives of our street friends and their children. Despite the torrential rain, our volunteers rallied together with determination and compassion, ready to embrace the challenges that lay ahead.

A Nutritious Feast for the 330 Souls: Food Distribution

Our CSR program, lovingly named QubeCares, kicked off with a grand gesture of love and kindness – food distribution. We sponsored and distributed a total of 330 meals, each thoughtfully prepared to provide essential nutrients to those in need. These hearty meals contained a perfect balance of carbs, protein, vegetables, and even a little extra treat. We topped up the food distribution with Milo powder packets and biscuits, and the sight of joy in the eyes of our street friends was heartwarming. For the first time this year, they enjoyed savoring Milo, a small but significant gesture that lit up their faces. This simple act of kindness, providing a special treat, reminds us of the joy in the little things and the power of sharing.

Nurturing Minds, Shaping Futures

Beyond food distribution, our QubeHeroes also extended a helping hand to the young souls in Chow Kit. Volunteers taught them the basics of language and drawing, attempting to bridge the educational gaps that emerged during the lockdowns.  Even though it only happens once a week, we are committed to taking small but meaningful steps in nurturing these young minds, helping them overcome adversity, and shaping brighter futures.

Cleaning for a Cleaner Tomorrow

After filling hungry stomachs with food distribution and inspiring young minds, the QubeHeroes turned their attention to the environment. With a sense of responsibility towards the environment, they embarked on an environment-cleaning drive. This involved not only clearing away discarded food containers but also tidying up the area by collecting other litter left behind by others. We believe in giving back to the community while ensuring we don’t add any burden to our government’s efforts to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in public spaces.

Despite the heavy rain, which forced us to change our food distribution location to one with shelter, our QubeHeroes adapted swiftly and efficiently. The rain stopped just as the distribution began, a little sign, perhaps, that the universe was in harmony with our efforts to bring a ray of hope to the people in need.

This experience was a powerful reminder of how fortunate we are, living in an environment with ample resources, good food, and shelter. It underscored the importance of sharing our blessings with those less fortunate, fostering a sense of gratitude and humility in our hearts.
