Senior Web Frontend UI/UX Developer
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Web Frontend UI/UX Developer with expertise in Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript to join our dynamic development team. As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative and visually appealing user interfaces for our web applications. Your primary focus will be creating seamless user experiences while ensuring high performance and responsive design. You will collaborate closely with the design and backend teams to turn wireframes and mock-ups into functional, user-friendly interfaces that meet both user and business needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript and Ionic framework.
- Collaborate with designers to create visually engaging and intuitive user experiences, adhering to UI/UX best practices.
- Implement responsive web designs to ensure optimal user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
- Optimize front-end performance to deliver fast-loading web pages and smooth interactions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers to maintain code quality and standards.
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and best practices to continuously enhance our applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Mentor and assist junior developers in their technical growth and knowledge.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Frontend Developer, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript and Ionic framework.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern web standards.
- In-depth understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to translate design concepts into functional code.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first web design principles.
- Proficient understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
- Knowledge of front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming concepts.
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code.
- Proficiency in using Angular CLI and Ionic CLI to create, build, and manage frontend projects efficiently.
- Ability to utilize Angular CLI commands for tasks such as generating components, services, modules and building optimized production bundles.
- Familiarity with Ionic CLI commands for creating hybrid mobile applications, running in development mode, and generating platform-specific builds.
- Demonstrated experience in developing responsive web applications that adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes, including desktops, tablets, and various mobile devices.
- Proficiency in using media queries and other responsive design techniques to create a consistent user experience across a wide range of devices and resolutions.
- Ability to design and implement flexible layouts that adjust gracefully to accommodate varying screen sizes and orientations.
- Understanding of touch-friendly interactions and mobile-specific considerations for a smooth user experience on touch-enabled devices.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
Additional Advantageous Skills
- Experience with other frontend frameworks/libraries (React, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Familiarity with UI testing and automation frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma).
- Knowledge of UI design tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma).
- Previous experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a personal portfolio demonstrating frontend development skills would be highly regarded.
